 This size L mortar is made of oak from an old barn floor structure.
 Younger than the M size oak mortars, this oak remains hard and strong enough to pound any spice without worrying about strength or durability over time.
 The pestle is made of elm wood. One of my most precious wood species in the workshop because, if you didn't already know, elm is a species that disappeared from Europe a few years ago due to a disease. Rest assured, many have now been replanted. I myself planted two Luthian elms on my personal land.
 With an optimum size and thickness to combine solidity and aesthetics, it will serve you for many years or even indefinitely if you take care of it.
